Great savings on runners in the USA @ JCPenney PLUS 20% off code

Posted By: nod, posted 2008/08/11 19:16
I need a new pair of runners and as I have always used Asics and been very happy with them I thought I would get the same.
Checking the prices in OZ I was looking at around 200 bucks for the pair I am after and in the US they are selling for $95 with only $29 shipping.
I then found a 20% off code (see attached) bringing the price down to $76!

So if you are after runners and know your size it is well worth taking a look over in the USA and JCPenney as far as I can tell have good prices but more importantly they have a reasonable shipping fee to OZ

Well times have changed. I visited JCPenney on a trip there back in my youth having never heard of them before, and they had a good reputation as a department store.
And now we can order from them from our armchairs here overseas.

Only thing to watch will be the US sizes. This place has a good conversion chart.

All you need to do is check the tongue on your old shoes ;)
The vast majority of trainers will have all the sizing on the label - mine certainly do.
If you were after a new pair of trainers and were not 100% sure about your size then I would head down and try them on at the local sports shop and then order online once you get home :whistling:

We had a little jingle on the TV when NZ converted to metric which I always remember and use even now (especially if using US cookbooks): "500g - that's about a pound of each, metrics can be simple". :D

Great discount! My new best friend needs a new pair of joggers to keep her fighting fit for her upcoming movie bit parts auditions!

I, myself am looking for a pair too, as mine are looking a bit tatty :D

Do you guys know what shipping for a pair of shoes would cost? How much would a pair of shoes weigh? Hrm.... Thanks!
  • Michelle21542008/08/13 13:40:33
Thanks all, i ended up using the WKIT862 code and got 20%off 2 pairs of kids joggers and also had a good hunt in the clearance sections and found a few hand held games for $9 and some kids PJ"s and some bedding, worth a scrounge are the closeout/clearance sections if you havent yet placed your order some great buys.
my postage was $47ish for 2 pairs of joggers and a heap of other stuff so not bad i feel.

Yes! Just part of the little jingle they had in NZ during metric changeover and that's the only part I remember and it always sticks in my mind.

JcPenney have a sale on for the next two days for Labour day. Some of the shoes are on sale and the code WKIT862 worked for me too :)
  • queenshrew2008/09/01 18:41:56
For those who have purchased, did you receive your pair(s) of shoes ok? How was the shipping like? Were your items well-packaged? Thanks :)
  • vscomgirl2008/09/02 23:51:59
I was really happy with the items I purchased and now I have an idea on the sizing I will definatley buy again. Shipping was a bit slow with Australian Air Express, my parcel sat at the depot 3 days because they couldn't find my address in the book. (hello buy a new book/google!) For my $50 postage I ended up picking it up myself but couldn't wait.
  • Michelle21542008/09/03 18:22:08
I got my order yesterday, it was slow to arrive but ive had slower within Australia.
I guessed my kids shoe sizes well and they are thrilled so all up a good purchase.
Would recommend this site and will definately use myself again.
