dstore are pretty active at the moment with promo's - good to see.
• Keeys2008/02/22 09:33:22
It must be paying off for the to keep running these promotions.

I must say I most likely would buy from them without all the promo's

Off to see if I can find anything good for my present cupboard :)

Thanks

I bought another one with the $10 voucher and $1 postage. LOL at $0.95.
• heremo2008/02/22 16:43:15
Is it me or did Dstore changed the terms of the Jetstar/Tiger $10 voucher? Now there is a minimum spend of $10?
• heremo2008/02/22 16:43:46
Sorry meant to say min spend of $40
• lilpretzel2008/02/22 16:53:58
Hello heremo,

Just went and doubled checked, cheeky buggars have changed the offer to minimum spend of $40 :(

Did you just claim it than?

My voucher has no min spend but I did claim this when I first posted the deal.

:)
• jinx2008/02/22 17:23:28
hmm it's quite interesting how there was a heap of $9.95 dvds earlier and now they have just suddenly gone, lots of elmo ones gone , I was lucky to get 3 of the dvds before going out shopping, I've only been gone a few hours too
• jdstacey2008/02/22 17:37:44
Hmmmm, indeed. All of the $9.95 DVDs seem to have been removed. The two that I bought this morning (Monster and the Hunt for Red October) aren't even listed on the site any more.

That being said, 4.5 hours after I ordered them, I got the emails saying they've been dispatched - I'm glad I got in when I did!
• lilpretzel2008/02/22 18:12:20
I grabbed Stuart Little Pack (includes 1, 2 and 3) for $18.95, last time I looked it was about $30 in target.

:)

Hello heremo,

Just went and doubled checked, cheeky buggars have changed the offer to minimum spend of $40 :(

I've got to say, moves like this are starting to become a bit of a dstore habit. It's fine to have a $10 discount voucher which can only be used when spending $40 or above as long as it states this when the voucher is given.

Have they changed it on vouchers already given (say a week or 3 ago)? Or only on recently given ones. If they changed the rules for previously awarded vouchers, then thats pretty dodgy. If they have only made it a condition of more recent ones and they stated the $40 min spend in the conditions when it was awarded, then I would think that is their prerogative. You would think however, that they would just make up their minds before the promo starts, so they don't look so ridiculous. After all $10 off $40 is still an excellent saving - Just tell us all at the beginning!

As far as the $9.95 movies disappearing - well that's just bizarre

Perhaps we're sending them broke...
• mobmoore2008/02/22 19:53:29
I had a $10 Jetstar credit, and it still worked with a DVD for $10- so $1 for Evan Almighty including postage- thanks!

I would say just recently, my $10 voucher didn't change.

For those who want to access the under $10 dvds on dStore, I just found this very nice tip on Whirlpool forums (thanks to PuffinFresh) - use http://dstore.com.au/dvd/price,0,10,0,0,00.html & that will take you to the $10 dvds - Only 12 still on the list though - maybe you can get 4 or 5 good ones from amongst them & use your $10 discount on that :)
• lilpretzel2008/02/22 20:35:07
Cheers for that, just remember you must use the deal link to earn your cashback so to get to this page use the deal link than click on the UNDER $15 dvd than change the link from 10,15,0,0,00 to 0,10,0,0,00

Oops! Meant to mention that, but forgot. Thanks for the catch :)

Also - BIG note on the under $10 DVDs - most of the 12 are HD DVD, so you need a HD DVD player to play them (or so I am told). So probably not suitable for most folks. Sorry :o
• heremo2008/02/22 21:08:23
Oh..very sneaky - there were 54 pages of $9.95 DVDs this morning when I looked. Lucky I bought Transformers Cybertron DVD for my son which only costed me $0.95 after the voucher. I had one more $10 voucher left so I just bought Eat Drink Man Woman for $2 after the voucher. Not too shabby at all! I was actually going to get my friend to sign up for the $10 voucher but now that D Store has changed the minimum spend to $40, I don't think he is too keen anymore.

I read in the paper that ALL of the six major Hollywood studios have dropped HD DVD, after Toshiba pulled the plug on it. Apparently Blu-ray is the one going ahead into the future, and HD DVD will be dead.

Yea - I read that as well. Toshiba have just thrown the toys out of the pram on it.
• leny2008/02/22 22:09:51
You'd want to get rid of all your HD DVD like dstore is appropriately doing. (talking about a business here)

Is that like throwing the baby out when the horse has bolted?

Just curious :innocent:
• admin2008/02/22 22:22:15
probably more like struggling to move the horse to one side to fit the baby in :D
• nlafanclub2008/02/22 22:32:18
That's a BIG pram!!!

You're not meant to be able to anymore. It was letting you do it with the $10 jetstar & $10 Tiger Air vouchers until dStore supposedly "fixed it", Although it just seems to be working for some people. If both vouchers show up to be ticked when you go to use them, just try ticking both and see what happens. If not, then I'd say you're out of luck.

I must say, even with just the $10 off (i got my voucher before they imposed the min $40 spend), I was happy to use the $1 shipping & get The Bourne Supremecy for $3.95 :D

I am only able to select one of the circles... it doesn't have boxes to tick, thus I think I am unable to take advantage of 2 vouchers at the same time. :(
• jinx2008/02/27 11:18:10
Recieved my dvds today, quick postage, but I just want to add how disappointing it is to see all the $9.95 dvds back up in the store :( would have loved some more kids movies
• nlafanclub2008/02/27 21:53:20
Yeah, it's a bit dodgy.

I know I've said this before, but they need to make up their minds how they are going to run a promotion before it starts & not change it half way thru (ie the minimum spend bit). Then they wouldn't of had to remove all of the cheaper DVDs - it must have inconvenienced other, non-credit claiming customers as well!

Maybe they'll smarten up from now on (although it's not like they're new to the game or anything)

OK - I'm done!

:)
