OK, this isnt going to be the deal of the week, but for those who have been waiting for the new Intel Penryn cpu to arrive this may be just what you were waiting for. Dell are offering a free cpu upgrade this week and the logical upgrade would have been to the 2.4Ghz cpu but they seem to have jumped a cpu here, could be quite a deal for this waiting for it to appear.

Click through and enter ecode R540213-web into the ecode finder boxes to reach this deal, select norton internet security for a $17.60 discount. Dont forget the Bucky cashback on this deal too!

Major improvements mainly in battery and heat I think it was, with minor increase in performance.

Do you know any of the details of how they've reduced the heat and power consumption trevor? Thats sort of like utopia for them.

45 nm and smaller size? just more efficient in what it does.

processor and compiler design guys rank in my definition of super geek. You'd have to have quite an amazing conceptual mind to be able to work at that level.

I remember doing compiler design years ago. Thankfully the guy that taught it was able to make it seem interesting so I enjoyed it even though I was crap.
