    how does that work then. You get 2 years complete cover, 2 years value cover (do they over lap ??), 90 days helpdesk and then 9 months helpdesk.... ! I dont get it.

    the level of after sales service is smart I reckon. If the difference between buying the same spec computer from two different spots is the post purchase services then Dell have got it sussed.

    I've had to get two repairs on this mac that I've got. Having to take it in to Apple each time is a pain in the butt - the 6 hours in time probably equals the cost of on site service at Dell. This is also the first computer I've ever had a warranty for and so far I'm glad its a 3 year one.

    Apple havent been bad though, no quibbling either time. They even refunded me for the transformer I had to buy as a replacement to keep the machine going when the power cable chucked a nancy.
