thanks sandgroper....do you have any thoughts on the T5870 processor supplied with this base system vs the T8100? Am a pretty generic user (ie. a lot of browsing....but no gaming)...

I doubt you would even notice the difference unless your a power user. I have a Vostro 1500 here with a 1.8Ghz celeron cpu and another with T8300 2.4Ghz cpu and in normal everyday use browsing, wp etc you couldnt tell which was which.

    The T5870 will do fine

cool, thanks for that. Just configured a system (base price $1505, less $100 discount - $1405....but it won't let me use the 5% discount, as it seems to be using the $1505 base price as it's discount starting point....which is crazy 'cause they would only apply the 5% discount to the $1405!!!!). Bugger me!

You could try hn0?fgkg3kztm3 or hno?fgkg3kztm3 for a system over $1500 which may give you 10% but I have to advise you that use of these codes may mean that your Bucky cashback may not track. Thanks Sandgroper. I know Mum is eligible for the 5% coupon, so I can always place the order in her name if necessary. Happy to keep it all above board!!

Appreciate your help. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the second set of codes you supplied to work for me :(
