:D - and maybe they'll be worth something before armageddon.

I knew a guy who collected transformer figures. He'd just buy them and stick them up in his attic unopened. I figured he was just a nutso accountant with a wierd fetish until he told me that one particular figure had recently sold on ebay for $20,000US. Still didnt make me desperate enough to start collecting them.

My hubby collected football cards as a little boy. When I meet him he had a couple of suitcases full. I introduced him to ebay and so far hes sold a few $1000 worth we still have 1000's of cards left. They are helping to pay for things around out house as well as a family holiday each year.

We have since started collecting for our kids so one day they will have something to give them a helping hand. One son collects Newcastle knights stuff and has a heap of Andrew Johns stuff. The other is a Mini Cooper lover and collects mini items his bedrom is mini heaven. We buy them items to add to their collects for b'days and xmas rather than toys or junk.

We are yet to decide what to collect for master 1 but I'm sure we will think of something.

It is quite amazing what people will collect. And since the Simpsons really have reachedicon status these sorts of things may very well be worth something in years to come.
They are pretty cute too :)

It absolutely is! If you watch Collectors on ABC, you'll see people who collect the most nutty stuff. Doesn't have to be "valuable" or "appreciable". One of my faves was the chick who collected blue. Didn't matter what it was - if she was pleased with it, it went into her collection, which looked really striking on it's white shelving. Plastic bottle lids, pen caps, all sorts of phaff. :D
