Included in the purchase - on rebate from Canon is a six month subs to either Shop174, Cosmopolitan, Bazaar, Madison, Gourmet Traveller, Ralph or Motor Magazines. And you go into a comp to win a $26,000 trip to New York.

Thats not a bad deal when you consider the whole of the bundle including a pretty reasonable camera.

    Thanks Dennisy and Holdenmg :)

The mag subs are worth about $30 bringing the camera cost down to around $170
You will pay just over $200 elsewhere and no shipping fees if you have a local DSE :)

I bought one of these as they are a great small 7.1 mega pixel camera. This is a run out model. Sill, the Ixus 70 is a simple click and point camera and has easy to use Canon menus. Uses a variety of memory cards including SDHC.

Best of all it comes with a separate charger and the batteries are readily available. (many cameras are not supplied with a charger - even if you had one of those cameras that take AA batteries, you would still have to buy the charger and batteries if you wanted to use rechargable batteries )

Many stores do not have stock left while others do - you might need to go hunting. The Powerhouse store in Townsville had lots of stock over the weekend.

Dont forget to ask Dick Smith about the extra warranty - its around $40 for extra 2 more years.

Yeah the extra warranty on these are pretty good. Because they are under $200, the warranty is much cheaper than the other cameras. Got the silver one to go!
