I like ht sound of the Eoptions account - especially as you can link it to any other bank account
  • denis72009/09/26 23:05:38
When I clicked the merchant link deal I was forwarded to the "loan application" page. I already did my application but had to manually go to Saving acc > Eoptions > Join. Hope this will not affect my cashback...
  • nod2009/09/27 01:14:08
    Hey Denis
We have noted the error and contacted the network that manages Suncorp. I can not see any reason why your cashback would not track as the cookie should set once you click through this link
We are hoping to get this sorted on Monday

For now I have used the deeplink to take you to the Eoptions bank account page - if you want the Everyday option account please use the filters on the left hand side of the page :)
  • wfdTamar2009/09/27 10:51:50
You can see the tracking happening by the change in URL a few times when you go to the site. Bit of a pain with the Suncorp one - you have to go to a Post Office or Suncorp branch to verify your ID. The St George one is easy.

I don't get what's in it for the banks with these offers. Unless it's a loss leader, or they use number of accounts opened to attract investors (or look good for the stockholders).

You mean why do they offer $30 for a bank account wfdTamar?
Basically that is their advertising cost. Most of the time this money is given the site that displays their advertising banner. So it is like a 'guaranteed' form of advertising. The merchants only pay out once they actually receive a sale or an approved application.
It is only recently since sites like Buckscoop gave the cash back to the actual customer that these transactions have become transparent

What happens with the ID form? Does the Post Office take it or do you need to send it to Suncorp?

hey guys, i cleared cookies, logged in and clicked on deal, signed up and completed application, but it has not been tracked on my buckscoop
how long after did you guys have this track on your history?
it's been 1.5 days for me

    P.S. signed up for eoptions
  • nod2009/10/02 01:02:43
    Hey there Howieman

You need to wait 14 days b4 you submit a transaction enquiry. Let me go take a look and see if I can see anything :)
  • nod2009/10/02 01:09:41
I can't see it .. so hold off and if you can't find it then go ahead with a transaction enquiry :)
  • Tingtings2009/10/02 09:41:46
can I open both account and earn $60?
  • Grinner2009/10/02 10:57:05
I opened the second account to link it to my Options account to get the higher interest rate but my eOptions account was declined so I guess the answer is no. One account has a $5 monthly account keeping fee and the other is free.
  • bt342009/10/02 13:26:33
Mine's not tracking either. Signed up on the 30th. Will wait a couple of weeks before making any inquiries.
  • lilpretzel2009/10/04 11:51:29
Eoptions isn't bad if you don't want to use ATM & EFTPOS.

With the Suncorps Everyday Options Account the bank will waive the $5 monthly fee if you are a Full time Student or permanent physical or intellectual disability or an impairment that restricts access to Suncorp Bank's banking facilities.

    :)
  • wfdTamar2009/10/06 09:29:39
I took the form to the Post Office and they checked my ID, but they didn't take it. It's not at all clear what to do with the sodding thing. I've asked Suncorp if I can email it back to them.

Talk about vague instructions. St George, Rabobank and ING were easy compared to this (and yes, I am milking this for all it's worth :-).
  • pollyin2009/10/06 21:48:14
I applied for this on Sept 25. But it seems that the deal is not tracked so far as I can see. So anybody tell me what I can do? And I haven't got the post id confirmation form yet. Not sure if I want to proceed with the deal or not.
  • pollyin2009/10/06 21:48:47
    Sorry, should be Sept 28.
  • Allic19712009/10/07 16:33:34

    Hi guys

Pollyin - Can I ask what account you applied for please?

Allic1971 - if you want the cashback then you would need to cancel the old account - which isn't actually open as the ID form has not been completed and apply again via a Buckscoop link
Make sure you clear all your cookies before you click through to apply

Sorry to report that Suncorp have ended their affiliate program - so Buckscoop can no longer offer cashback. We will be unable to process any transaction enquiries I am afraid - nothing we can do about that - sorry

Does that mean Suncorp will not pay? I've got Suncorp sitting on "tracked" not "validated", which looks a bit strange.

I have been advised that all transactions that are going to be validated have been done so. Any transactions that are showing as not 'validated' will not be paid out. If you have any further questions about your specific situation then I recommend that you generate an enquiry about that transaction and we can take a look
    :)
