Good deal. I imagine the cinemas are hurting at the moment which probably explains why the cheap ticket offers.
    • nod07/03/2009
      lucky us :D

I have tried two different computers and still can not download this. The first computer came up with a message that I needed to download flash. The second has a message about Acrobat Share. Is there any chance this could be uploaded to photobucket or something accessible? Thanks. Great deal.
    • lisss07/03/2009
Works fine for me. It's a PDF file so would need to be saved to someone's server.

actually according to the daily telegraph today, the cinemas are one of the top companies that are reporting profits during the "recession" crisis.

"In the last six months of 2008, Village Cinemas saw its operating profit jump to $7.3 million, more than triple the amount it made the previous year."

Ha - I wouldnt have thought they would be. Interesting. I know DVD rental companies are laughing.

The Greater Union in Burwood did not accept the voucher. The staff said they had a lot of people turn up with the voucher, and were told they could not accept it any more. Has this happened to anyone else?

The movie was just a normal session, not a GMAX, VMAX etc, so I don't see why they can just refuse to honour the voucher.
    • admin08/03/2009
Something wrong there frychip - I would have argued my case at the cinema. There is nothing on the voucher pertaining to 'at their discretion'. The volume of others who've used it is irrelevant.
    • fry888chip08/03/2009
Ah thanks, yeah it did look pretty suspicious to me. I might try again later this week and see what they say
    • morricio09/03/2009
Just saw Slumdog Millionaire with a couple of mates at Greater Union Bondi Junction Ripoff Merchants. $8!!! It's $13.50 for a concession ticket there, $15 for an Adult. This is brilliant! Thanks guys! Much Obliged.

        Thanks for the voucher :)
      • geo7820/11/2007
sorry, it's for the same cinema...:) http://www.buckscoop.com.au/deals/9058/free-screening-of-the-new-comedy-ju
      • admin20/11/2007
:) - I reckon both of these should stay up - they're both slightly different versions of the same thing. One you have to give your details up for harvest the other you have to sit through a half hour survey afterwards.
      • admin20/11/2007
sab - I've edited your deal - the link you put in the deal text is now in the direct link so when you click the go to deal it takes you to it. I spent a bit searching around the greater union site for the deal and couldnt find it. Almost expired your deal on the back of that.
      • geo7820/11/2007
admin, it's the same deal as mine for Macquarie (http://www.buckscoop.com.au/deals/9058/free-screening-of-the-new-comedy-ju). you have to sit through a half hour survey...or not...i guess they cannot force you to stay if you don't want... however, for the George St., Sydney one (http://www.buckscoop.com.au/deals/9059/free-screening-of-the-new-comedy-ju), you don't have to do the survey...

yea - thats what I said in my post geo.

Not sure why your saying that they are for the same cinema either. Same as in greater union - but different location arent they (unless my understanding of Sydney is totally screwed up)?

:D - I guess once you've sat through the movie how are they going to make you stay to do the survey.
      • geo7820/11/2007
ok, sorry i caused missunderstandings. i submitted 3 deals for Juno:
        1. http://www.buckscoop.com.au/deals/9058/free-screening-of-the-new-comedy-ju Greater Union Megaplex Macquarie
        2. http://www.buckscoop.com.au/deals/9059/free-screening-of-the-new-comedy-ju Greater Union George St, Sydney
        3. http://www.buckscoop.com.au/deals/9352/free-screening-of-the-new-comedy-ju Village Cinemas, Jam Factory, Sth Yarra

this deal is the same as deal #1.

I used the normal price of a child ticket which is $10.50 hence the discount of $2.50 which gives us $8

Was that correct or did I do that wrong? :whistling:
      • nod18/10/2007
        Kids are $10.50!!!!
That would be an expensive day out if you had a few kids....

I've seen this, really enjoyed it. It was very good for a third in a movie series, where the stories usually start to wane a bit...
      • Brad18/09/2007
It's nice to know there are some good films out. :D
      • admin18/09/2007
I'd give it a thumbs up. Only thing that bugged me was the flicky way the guy films this sort of stuff. Otherwise very entertaining.
      • jayne18/09/2007
I didn't feel the movement was too bad, it made for creating the suspense and the flow of the movie. But a friend watched it and felt quite ill, like she'd been on a boat or something!!
      • nod19/09/2007
Hot vote from me both for the price and the movie. I really enjoyed this movie and I have actually liked all 3. One of the few trilogies where I have not walked out of the cinema disappointed
      • lisss19/09/2007
