Refurb 30gb iPod, colour display @ Apple $149 delivered

22 June 2007

I do like the prices in Apple refurb. Like this - you get 30 gig, a brand, and 1 years warranty for about the same price as you can get lesser spec'd and known other units.

We cant link directly into the apple store so go store > refurbished ipod.

Details
167 grams
10.4 x 6.1 x 1.60 cm
Apple Earphones
AC Adapter
USB 2.0 cable

02/12/2007 - have edited this as they've knocked $50 off the price to bring it down to $149 delivered.

You would be looking at about $330 for a new one- saving of 100 bucks is not bad at all :)

Apple refurbs are very good - generally little to not difference to the brand new ones (except they come in a brown box) and you get the 1 year warranty. These aren't the knocked about and scratched kind of refurbs so very good value

Have just edited this deal as they've dropped the price on this from $229 to $199. Its been sitting in the refurb section for a while so they're obviously trying to get rid of them.

I've known of a few stores to ask for this... seems like a lot of hassle, but i believe it is legit. I've never been asked to do this though...

    Its saying $270 for me?

I've come across it when buying from the US twingurl but never from an Australian site. I guess you paid by credit card. What really bugs me about this habit is that there is a high degree of idiocy in the logic. They want you to send them proof of identity over an insecure medium to verify that you are who you say but there is absolutely zip there for you. The details that you send them are as far as I'm concerned pretty confidential and you have no knowledge of where those details end up. Last time I had to do this they asked for my license and I blacked out all the details like license number, postcode and address etc. They rejected it as sufficient identification so I told them that until they could guarantee the safety and destruction of the confidential information they could go bounce on their head. I ended up buying it from somewhere else.

Mystery solved The 30Gb iPod listed at the top of the page is $270 and is the previous model to the one recently released The 30GB ipod Admin has priced appears 1/2 way down the page. Now I think the one listed here by Admin is the generation before again. It would explain the pricing :)

I've edited this as they've knocked another $50 off the price. Thats a pretty good price on a 30gb player - who can tell me whats wrong with this particular model ? Its been sitting on the site for ages now.
