Officeworks - Linksys NMH405 Network MediaHub $147.23 (RRP $699.95)

16 June 2010

Media server - comes with one 500GB drive, but can hold two in a raid 0 or 1 array. RRP was stupidly expensive (a Qnap TS210 can be had for $300), but at under $150 it's not too bad a deal. Online special only, but can arrange to pickup at a store (still need to pay a handling fee though).

I understand that these did have issues (like slow remote access performance in some circumstances and unable to copy large files via the web interface) when they first came out, since addressed by firmware updates. But the initial problems combined with the high price no doubt has led to it being discontinued.

Doesn't seem to work from where I'm at. States that there are '0 units available' and that it's unavailable for backorder.

Just checked and looks like they're all gone itstricky. Will expire the deal. It was a clearance item by the look of it.

Seems to be availlable still when I checked - might be on a state by state basis (I'm in Vic)
