    ha, a good deal, but i have to say that the pictures on their website comparing the image quality of "standard RCA" (probably composite) and upscaled HDMI output is the same lousy trick that some stores use to scam people into believing that a particular device or cable is superior (and worth a lot more money)...

    Id agree - they're pretty optimistic with those pictures... Note that upconversion results vary depending on your television. Our test was conducted with the Memorex DVD Player and a Sharp LCD TV. We used some zoom on the screen captures in order to highlight the differences. Also note that this technology is intended to assist people with digital (LCD/Plasma) televisions make the most of them and won't result in noticeable improvement on older analog/tube televisions.

    the quality of a composite connection is not great, component is better, and digital HDMI is better still... the improved picture quality in the second picture (if it is real) is probably more to do with using a superior connection standard than it is to do with upscaling...
