Maxtor OneTouch III Turbo Edition Ext HDD 600GB $296 at Harris TEchnology PLUS cashback

17 August 2007

This is quite a neat little unit for the money. This Maxtor is selling for $470 at the next cheapest store (MSY) and over $500 everywhere else. So quite a nice little saving

Here is a little bit more info:
"Maxtor OneTouch III Turbo Edition - Hard drive array - 600 GB - 2 bays - 2 x HD 300 GB - FireWire 800, Hi-Speed USB, FireWire 400 (external)"

If you were thinking of getting 2 x 300gb it would set you back about $500 - Maxtor.

Good find Nod. I know the Western Digital 300's were going for about $200 a piece from memory as just a standalone disk.

Unless you really need the Firewire, Seagate Freeagent 500Gb (with 5 year warranty, Maxtor now owned by Seagate but no 5 yr warranty) are $229 in Officeworks right now. Alternatively, a Seagate 500gb drive (5yr again) with NAS enclosure can be had from ITSky for $198 + shipping.
