can I ask what are these types of computers good for? Just thinking of getting something for a teen and wondering if this or a cheap laptop is the way to go ?

If you just need to surf the net, check emails, do homework, use word documents and listen to music they are great to use. One thing you might not of realised it runs Linux not windows ;) I will surely give admin a nudge this way to help out further :D

Keeys - I reckon this thread http://www.buckscoop.com.au/forums/showthread.php?t=10694 gives a reasonable summary. Being Linux this one will be a little more geeky to work with but I'd say your teen being a teen will be able to figure it out. Good enough for browsing, movies, music and basic editing would be my opinion but you'd be better off asking the couple of people on here who have one.
