    For an Intel and being under $1000, I think this is a quite a good buy for a basic spec laptop. The battery life (if it lives up to it) looks very good. I wonder if this also qualifies for any of the Acer cashbacks? Not mentioned but worth a look on the site I think. A lot of the Travelmates did qualify - but off the top of my head, not sure when the offer expired
