$200 cashback on the HP colour laserjet printer

22 December 2007

Am laughing as I know this is the wrong time of the year for this and these promo's are something I normally dont post on but this ones pretty good.

HP are giving $200 in a mail in rebate on the colour laserjet 1600 model. The reason I reckon this is worth posting about is that the printer can be bought for as little as around the $350 mark. Which makes it about a 60% discount.

Worth checking the post christmas sales to see whether you can get one cheaper. I know Harvey Normals and Harris Tech are putting them out at $399 but there is better around.

http://dstore.com.au/computers/HP-COLOR-LASERJET-1600-PRINTER/769768.html Might not be the very cheapest, but a reliable "BuckScoop" merchant with rebates and sometimes free shipping offers...

I know how that works... I tried ordering (External Storage drives) from ht.com.au (harris technology). I admit the product was in Perth and I was in Adelaide. Freight was going to be: $44.67 on a purchase of $374.40, but then they ramped it up to $95.98. dreamin'... Caveat ht.com.au

Youhave until April to do this. I bet they will be close to free after the discount, provided that you buy wisely towards the end of the promotion period. $499 at harvey norman Cottesloe Central, $399 at harris technology. $361 I think at D store.

Ouch. Thats pretty ridiculous for a large national to not have negotiated monumentally better carriage rates. Its not as if Adelaide is out in the boonies. I take it they wouldnt ship it between stores for you holdenmg ? Do they all operate on a completely seperate basis or something?

$357.50 - thanks voteoften I hadnt noticed they had them. Not that it works out to a huge amount - but you still get the dstore cashback through here on the full purchase price. :D - just worked it out. The dstore cashback works out to a whopping $4.40 on it. Still - that'd leave the final price you pay as $153.10 - which is pretty good.

What do you think?
