The market excitement may have your fingers twitching to buy it, so we are going to look at some of the best hacks you can achieve with your 2016 smartphone in efforts to save you money by showing you it’s still a great device and there is no need to upgrade, straight away.

Mobile device manufacturers always charge a premium when the launch a device. Therefore if we can at least show you some new hacks on your current device it might help you hold out a little longer until your dream device drops in price. Today we are going to look at the Samsung Galaxy S7, Apple iPhone 7 Plus, LG G6, Huawei Mate 9 and the Google Pixel XL.

 

Samsung Galaxy S7

There are over 20 tips and tricks for the Samsung Galaxy S7 in this video, which should be enough to keep you entertained for a few months until the Samsung Galaxy S8 drops in price a little. My favourite is definitely the last hack which being a Samsung owner I never knew existed, it’s an inbuilt Easter egg game that is similar to the notorious 2D helicopter game.

This video throws in 10 tips and tricks that you can do with the iPhone 7 Plus that you may or may not have known about. Certain tips are a little more obvious whilst others offer great ways to save money, such as how you can reduce the amount of data you consume by downloading smaller sized images from group chats.

This video offers more than 20 tips and tricks for the LG G6 mobile device that I personally found very helpful. When it comes to security more and more people are using their devices for sending documents and other sensitive data. There is a loophole in accessing the LG G6 once you have selected fingerprint access if you have not deactivated the screen-lock function, thank me later.

Huawei Mate 9

There are a number of tips and tricks that can be done with the Huawei Mate 9 that I didn’t know were possible. One of the most useful tips I found was how to get a complete history log of how you have been using your device when you dial the following number: *#*#6130#*#*. Check it out and see what information you reveal.

Google Pixel XL

It was an interesting story to hear that Google were releasing their own device into a market that they already dominated with its Android software. Therefore we had a number of expectations and with the Google Pixel XL they did a number of things other manufacturers should be doing. Personally, my favourite hack is how to use the 24/7 live support that is offered directly within the device, what a great idea.
