Woolworths are going big on fruit as we draw to nearer to the end of 2015. It was around this time last year that Woolworths began their ‘Odd Bunch Campaign‘ which helped us save money along with reducing the amount of fruit & veg waste in Australia each year (which the government estimates at $10 billion).
A recent announcement by Woolworths have left them looking like a strong contender for Buckscoop’s “Top Freebie of 2015″ title as they’re planning to give away almost 1 million free fruit and veg products to all kids in-store. Along with this offer, our lineup this week also includes freebies from regulars such as Toluna and Masters, while Microsoft also makes an appearance.
Woolworths – Free Fruit
Woolworths want you back in their stores and they also want you to bring the kids too. The supermarket giant announced that free fruit would be given away at all 961 stores nationwide from as early as next month. This fruit isn’t part of the ‘odd bunch” clan either, it will look the same as the regular priced/shaped fruit. Woolies expect to give away 1 million pieces of fruit a year so keep the kids occupied and well fed with a healthy snack next time you visit.
