WineMarket must have gotten a copy of my letter to Santa as they have released their remarkable $50 off voucher once again. As previously, it is valid on orders over $120 excluding beer and champagne. However, you can apply the voucher to sparkling wine and mixed cases containing the above listed exclusions. You’ll have time until January to browse through the selection and pick your poison, but here are some examples I would like to bring to your attention:
My first deal using the $50 off voucher this time around was on a case of Grant Burge Pinot Noir Chardonnay, which is a non vintage sparkling wine. It has got pretty good reviews from several experts whom seem to think that paying an average of $135 for a case of six is an outstanding value buy. At WineMarket you can now get the case using the voucher for $93.30 delivered, which effectively gives you each bottle of this quality sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay for just $14 each.
I also came across this bundle on a Cocktail Starter Pack, including 4 bottles of bubbly and 2 spirits with a bonus shaker for $129 + free delivery. Effectively the kit can be yours for just $79 delivered. If you think about it this way, just the Absolut Vodka and the Tequila 125 included in the bundle alone have a market value of ~$80. So in theory you’re getting the remaining 4 bottles entirely free (a Marcel Pierre Brut Champagne NV, a Santa Margherita Prosecco di Valdobbiandene, and two bottles of Cava – the Freixenet Rosado Cordon Brut NV and the Veuve d’Alban Brut NV). The Champagne is going for $30 a bottle at Cellarmasters and the rest are worth about $15 a bottle each – saving you a total of $75 (or roughly 50%) off market prices. The 500ml deluxe cocktail shaker is just the cherry on top.
And as for a great value wine buy, there’s a steaming deal on the Pepperjack Barossa Shiraz which I was expecting to surface on Buckscoop’s board using this voucher. The case of six works out at $81 delivered after the discount, whose price is as low as it has ever been. $13.50 for a bottle of any Barossa Shiraz is more than decent, but for the Pepperjack it’s a steal…
And if you’re looking to buy wine dirt cheap, WineMarket always has some awesome bundles around the $70 mark. Often these cases of a dozen also come with either free or half price delivery. Right now to reach the minimum spend threshold in order to use the $50 off voucher, you could get two dozen of the Big Bargain Reds for $69 a case with free delivery. The total comes to $138 minus the $50, gives you a final price of $88 for 24 reds. This equates to a measly $3.66 per bottle. They might not be premium wines, but this bundle contains some decent Shiraz’, Cab Savs, Pinot Noir and Merlots from vineries such as Peter Lehmann, Sandford and Angoves.
So there’s no lack of great bargains you could find using WineMarket’s $50 off voucher. People living in Sydney or Melbourne metro areas can also order as late as 2pm on the 21st of December to receive their cases in time for Christmas. For other regions’ cut off dates, please refer to WineMarket’s Christmas delivery chart.
