The traditional retail market is about to get an abrupt arrival from the global discount chain renowned for its bargain designer brand offerings.

TK Maxx plans to launch in April this year by opening 35 stores under a new business model that many Australians haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing in their home country before. We are looking forward to a more H&M, Top Shop and Zara style shopping experience that may save money in the hundreds.

Masters Fire Sale Heats up with Closure Date Nearing

Masters is planned to shut down within 4 weeks, but liquidators have come under fire for running a lousy closing down sale. In efforts to improve the situation liquidators have supposedly improved discounts by up to 70% off. Bargains are also being offered on last minute summer items such as BBQs and patio furniture.

The closure date is set for 11th December but Mike Whitfort, spokesman for the liquidators, GA Australia believes it will be a miracle if the store lasts that long. Yet, is this just more wool being pulled over our eyes to put some last minute dollars into the liquidators hands or are the prices actually as discounted as the store says?

Woolworths Promises Bigger Discounts in Massive Pricing Overhaul

Woolworths has bee struggling recently due to heightened competition from Coles and ALDI causing their sales to continue to decrease. In an attempt to prevent the haemorrhaging of sales, the supermarket is planning on doing a complete overhaul of its pricing to bring its products in line with competitors.

Woolworths Promises Bigger Discounts in Massive Pricing Overhaul

Brad Banducci, the chief executive of Woolies made an announcement that the group will be restructuring after a drop in sales of 0.3% in the third quarter, during which time both ALDI and Coles experienced growth. This has resulted in Woolies pumping $150 million into reducing prices, which only means that customers may be able to save more money shopping with them in the coming months.
