I’m overly thrifty in some areas of my life, and one of those is children’s clothing. My girls can get a brand new dress on Christmas eve, normally bought in a sale, and perhaps a brand new dress for their birthday parties, but other than that, I rarely buy their clothes new. They just grow out of things so fast, I can’t get my head around paying new prices for clothes.
Perhaps that’s because we’ve been blessed and both girls were born 3 – 6 months after the girls of close friends, so things always filter down at hugely reduced prices. If you look at my kids, you wouldn’t know they were wearing second hand, and if I’m honest, I wish I could dress as well as they do. I certainly don’t have any Calvin Kline in my wardrobe!
But, when I see clothing sales, I always have a look. With up to, and sometimes more than 50% off at Buckets And Spades, I’m so tempted to buy this year’s birthday dresses and maybe even Christmas dresses early. Specially with some of our favourite brands on offer, like this beautifully summery Fred Bare dress, reduced from $110 to $39!
For the dancer in your daughter, this gorgeous crimson bubble e3M dress is also just $39, down from $114!
Go for sun protection with sun hats at around $15 – this Fred Bare was $29.70 before the sale.
Munster Board Shorts are $32.50 instead of $64.95 and if you’re looking ahead to winter, there are boots, sweater tops and coats to browse through too.
Normally if you spend over $200 on full price items you will get free shipping, but oddly, that doesn’t apply to sale items. Instead, if your purchase is up to 500g, you’ll pay $8.95 shipping, over 500g is $12.95.
